I had to use a tub of sour cream which I originally earmarked for making Twice Baked Potatoes. It's always the same story. I buy an ingredient for a recipe and then the recipe never happens. Ah hah! You want to know if the sour cream expired. Yes? Yes. One week past due. ***slap forehead***

Last Sunday (Thaipusam) I went to Aeon with my partner for our usual grocery run. At 10:00am sharp, when the shutters opened, we were the first to enter the lower ground floor. Upstairs, we were greeted by the crowd from the main entrance. The Chinese New Year (CNY) shopping frenzy is in full swing folks!

It was a Saturday and my brother and I had planned to go to Serai. Yup, I wanted to eat at Serai again because I loved the food and wanted to feature it in my blog. But sadly when we got there, they were closed for a private event. Arrgghhh!!!

What?? Buttermilk again??? hee..hee...hee...This happened last year where I promised that I won't buy anymore buttermilk. But then...... You see, my carton of buttermilk expired (yeah, what's new?). But I was not going to throw it out until I was sure that it had gone bad.

This is my easy go to dish when I want to cook for my weekday meal. What I love about it is that, I can marinate the meat either overnight or for just a few hours and then I can simply chuck the meat into the oven to roast together with the sliced peppers.
