Darling, Ho Chiak Boh?

This was what I cooked on an energetic Saturday. Nine days worth of food for my Mr Boh Ho Chiak heh..heh...

One packet of meat/minced meat with all the fixings make three servings. I could have cooked another serving to make it 12 days worth of food. But no lah. I was tired.

This is meat with celery and shitake mushrooms.

His favorite (I think), meat, onions, carrot and potatoes.

Meatloaf with nom nom bacon on top.

All these were cooled and then stored in the freezer for the coming week. There was one serving of a dish already in the freezer, so all that makes lunch for 2 weeks (Mondays to Fridays)

  6. Wow! 10 days worth of food and all very organized in glass containers and looking delicious. Does that mean that it is also 10 days of no cooking....BLISS:) You're a hard working auntie - that's a character to be admired:)

    1. It's the best way to ensure he can take lunch to work as I don't have time to prepare on weekdays.

  17. I've learned to do this too...from you and actually found cooking in batches and freezing them very convenient though I wouldn't go as far as 2 weeks worth of food lah. I can't stomach eating the same thing for two weeks. I usually make about 3 portions and that is eaten over 2 weeks! ;) Mr Boh Ho Chiak should be thankful for such ho chiak food specially prepared for him :)

    1. Oh, that's nice to know :) I am OK with eating the same thing for one or two weeks. I am fortunate that my Mr BHC is not fussy as long as I cook something familiar :)

  19. Aiyoo... what is ho chiak boh? Should I refer this word to my eldest son? Nanti famous pulak blog you dia baca. Hahaha!

Wah, your laling is the luckiest guy in the universelah. Siap prepare bekal for two weeks. Jimat! I myself, malas nak prepare breakfast lite-lite for my laling you know. But it's okaylah! He understands me and that's why he chose me to be his wife. Kahkahkah....

I smell of potatoeslah, PH ^_^

    1. "Ho chiak boh" in Hokkien means "sedap tak?". Hopefully, sedap lah hee..hee..

Kalau tak prepare nanti, macam kita ni tak caring pulak. So since I dah prepare, I continue to do so lah..

Potatoes? I pun minat potatoes. Don't worry :D
